A witness told police the woman struggled against her abductors. #kidnapping

The Makati City police is investigating the abduction of a Chinese woman along Paseo de Roxas in Legazpi Village Monday night.

A video of the abduction posted online early Tuesday prompted the investigation while persons of interests, as indicated on vehicle sale documents dropped at the scene of kidnapping, will be questioned.

In the video, the victim is heard screaming as she is forced inside a van by alleged kidnappers. The van then sped away as a bystander approached it.

A witness told police the woman struggled against her abductors who were wearing masks.

The van’s plate number was traced to a different vehicle, according to Makati City police chief Rogelio Simon.

The abduction comes a week after the Philippine National Police labeled as fake news videos of white vans roaming in Metro Manila streets and kidnapping random victims.
