US Navy base shooting toll rises to 4

The death toll from the shooting at the Naval Air Base Pensacola in Florida rose to four on Friday, including the gunman, according to the local sheriff.

Sheriff David Morgan of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (ESCO) also reported that 11 were wounded in the shooting and seven of them are being treated at the Baptist Hospital, including two deputies of ECSO who confronted the shooter.

The shooting happened around 6:51 a.m. at the NAS Pensacola’s Aviation Pre-Indoctrination Building, the base’s spokesman said.

Police arrived at the scene about 30 minutes later.

The identities of the victims are not being released pending notification of their kin.
