Pablo Cabahug shines

Pablo Cabahug gives back to his alma mater through a fashion show.

In celebration of his 10th anniversary in the industry of fashion, Pablo Cabahug presents Rayons du Soleil (Rays of the Sun), his love story with the imagery of the sun, “to fall and rise again, to live another day and start anew” with a 50-piece collection of his most beloved and memorable collections, reimagined.

Alongside his celebration in the fashion industry was the Quadricentennial celebration of his alma mater, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, where he attended and graduated with a Communication Arts degree.

Hence, part of the proceeds from his benefit dinner and gala fashion show will be passed on to the Colegio’s scholarship program as well as to help fund the construction of the Quadricentennial building that will symbolize the 400th year of the Colegio’s continuously providing academic excellence.

Significant people in Cabahug’s career and life also took part in the fashion show, all in black ensembles.

In Daily Tribune’s previous interview with the fashion designer, he shared, “I wanted to revisit my most memorable collections, and reimagine them with a romantic feel and the ease of different hues and emotions from sunrise to sunset; to fall and rise again; to live another day and start anew.”

“I just feel so blessed. I think nilatag ni God lahat ng mangyayari sa akin para maging kung sino man ako ngayon (I think God provided everything which made me the person that I am today). And I think it’s about giving back,” the Letran alum stated.

Definitely, he showcased the beauty of the sun through his collection and with a symbolic event such as this. Esteemed Letranites and alumni not only graced the benefit dinner but some even walked the runway in no other than the designer’s masterpieces.

What was also very special about this celebration was when significant people in his career and life also took part in the fashion show, all in black ensembles. What’s a better way to celebrate a milestone than to have your most nearest and dearest with you!
