Amit, Centeno assure Phl of 1-2 finish in 10-ball

Rubilen Amit and Chezka Centeno blasted their rivals from Myanmar on Friday to arrange an all-Filipino finals in the 10-ball singles of the 30th Southeast Asian Games billiards at The Manila Hotel Tent.

Amit whipped Maung Thandar, 7-2, while Centeno overpowered Aung A Mi, 7-4, in the semifinals.

The wins came after they dominated their Indonesian opponents in the quarterfinals—Centeno blanked Angeline Ticoalu, 7-0, and Amit trounced Fathrah Masum, 7-3.

Amit had to rest and adjust after beating Masum.

“Sa totoo lang medyo nakakalito because the break is different,” she explained as both she and Centeno are also competing in the 9-ball singles.

Amit and Centeno will face off at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
