Man stabbed dead by brother-in-law

A 32-year-old construction worker was stabbed dead by his brother-in-law with whom he had an argument during a drinking session on Thursday night at Bldg. 31, Aroma Temporary Housing in Tondo, Manila.

Police identified the victim as Ben Rose Ramirez, resident of Aroma Temporary Housing.

It was learned that before Ramirez died, he named his assailant as Mayco Aliser, 24, a scavenger, who stabbed hm three times.

PCpl. Allan Lingcong, investigator on the case, said the incident happened at 8 p.m. Before the said stabbing, the suspect and Annalee Quiminales were having a drink when the victim suddenly arrived drunk and looking for the money he gave to his sister.

Aliser told Ramirez that his wife was not at home and advised him to go home. Instead, he asked for a shot of liquor.

After a few minutes, the suspect left. When he returned, he had an argument with the victim, which saw him pulling a knife from his waist then angrily stabbing the victim repeatedly.

Despite his wounds, Ramirez managed to run out, but he was pursued by the suspect. When he caught up with him, he stabbed him again until he fell down.

A friend of the victim, identified as Adonis Mabini, brought the victim to nearby Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, where he was declared dead at 8:40 p.m.

Police are now conducting a manhunt for the suspect who escaped.
