Father commits incest while wife is in market

A 40-year-old father has been arrested and charged with raping his 13-year-old daughter in Bagong Silangan, Quezon City on Thursday.

According to the mother of the victim, the latter reported the rape to her when she came home from the market around 8:45 a.m. The girl claimed she was raped repeatedly.

The mother and daughter reported the crime to the barangay which then referred the complaint to the police.

The police then went to the home of the suspect and arrested him around 9:30 a.m. He is now detained at the Batasan Police Station and facing charges of violation of Republic Act 8353 (Anti Rape Law) and RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
