P4M-worth of marijuana destroyed

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Thursday reported that it has destroyed fully grown marijuana plants and dried marijuana leaves with an estimated value of P4,465,000 during a marijuana eradication operation in the boundary of Benguet and Ilocos Sur.

PDEA chief Director General Aaron Aquino said that joint operatives from the PDEA Regional Office I (PDEA RO I) under the supervision of Director Bryan B. Babang and local police conducted operations in nine marijuana plantation sites in Mt. Bila and Mt. Wasan, boundary of Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet and Barangay Danac, Sugpon, Ilocos Sur.
