48 rounded up in QC

Forty-eight drug suspects were arrested by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) during its simultaneous anti-criminality and law enforcement operation on Tuesday night.

QCPD director PCol. Ronnie Montejo said among those arrested were Rengie David alias Boss, Felipe Gumarang, alias Buboy, 36, both of Caloocan City; Honelyn Añasco, 18, of Barangay San Bartolome, and Jomar Randa, 25 of Barangay Sta. Monica.

They were apprehended during a buy-bust operation conducted by anti-drug operatives of Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under PLt. Col. Rossel Cejas.

Seized from the suspects were several sachets of shabu worth about P102,000, a cellular phone and the buy-bust money.

On the other hand, La Loma Police Station under PLt. Col. Camlon Nasdoman arrested Terence Capistrano, 18, of Barangay Masambong and rescued two male minors after they were caught smoking marijuana at Barangay Manresa. Confiscated from them was a glass tube pipe containing marijuana.
