Typhoon ‘Ramon’ batters Cagayan

The northern portion of Cagayan is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 as Typhoon “Ramon” moved toward Babuyan Islands.

Moderate with frequent heavy rains over Batanes, the northern portion of Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Apayao and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte are expected Tuesday while there will be light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over the northern portion of Isabela, Kalinga, Abra and the rest of Cagayan and Ilocos Sur.

As of 4 a.m., Ramon was 120 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan.
