TS ‘Ramon’ to make landfall in Cagayan

Weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday in its 11 p.m. bulletin that Tropical Storm Ramon is expected to make landfall over northern Cagayan between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

The storm was last spotted 220 kilometers east-northeast of Casiguran, Aurora at a pace of 15 kilometers per hour with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph. Tropical cyclone wind signal (TCWS) No. 2 had been raised over most of Northern Luzon.

Under TCWS No. 2, with 61-120 kph winds expected in 24 hours, are Cagayan (including Babuyan Islands), and the northern portion of Isabela (Sta. Maria, San Pablo, Maconacon, Cabagan, Sto. Tomas, Quezon, Delfino Albano, Tumauini, and Divilacan).

Under TCWS No. 1, with 30-60 kph wind expected in 36 hours, are Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Northern Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, and Dinalungan), and the rest of Isabela.
