Pampanga pledges ease of doing business

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The city government here has pledged last week to implement Republic Act 11032 or the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018” during a meeting with local businessmen.

Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) executive assistant to the director general Atty. Marco Angelo Balleser made the pledge during the Third Regional Convention of the Central Luzon Association of Business Permit and Licensing Officers Inc. (CLAB) held at the Royce Hotel in Clark Freeport Zone.

Balleser urged the CLAB, Business Permit and Licensing Officers (BPLO), and the Local Economic and Investment Promotion Officers of Central Luzon to help in enforcing the ARTA to curb graft and corruption in dealing business with government agencies.

He said that business institutions should jump in the government’s reform train to improve the services given to the public, adding that the endeavor would amount to a more robust commerce.

The CLAB convention’s theme was “RA 11032: Reforming to Create an Enhanced Business Environment and Increased Investment Flows” with the idea of becoming a venue for local government units to share ideas, information that will help promote the economic development and growth of Central Luzon.

He also urged fellow public servants to continue to provide quality public service and build confidence for the business sector.

“We can attract investors and increase economic growth thru excellent service delivery,” he said.

Garcia pointed out that the City of San Fernando has been doing a great job in terms of promoting business thru the leadership of Mayor Edwin Santiago. He added that the mayor has been delivering efficient and effective services to all Fernandinos.
