Mitsubishi celebrates another milestone

Just early this year Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) achieved its one-millionth sales milestone in the form of a Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback unit.

Recently, MMPC reveled is yet another historic achievement after reaching its 700,000th production unit, rolling out a red Mirage G4 from its plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Since 1964, the carmaker has been manufacturing quality vehicles, which in return, have been driving the country’s economy forward.

“Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation could not accomplish this achievement without steadfast commitment and considerable cooperation of the Philippine government, all our dealers, suppliers, business partners, loyal customers as well as the past and present employees,” Takao Kato, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s chief executive officer said.

From the 60’s Mitsubishi Colt and L100 Mini Cab Van, to the 70’s Dodge Colt Galant, Colt Lancer, Dodge Colt Lancer, Minica and 80’s Lancer, Galant, L300 Chassis Cab, L300 Commuter Van, L300 Versa Van, the 90’s Pajero, Space Wagon and Adventure and finally 2012’s Mirage Hatchback and 2013’s Mirage G4 Sedan, MMPC has been able to produce quality vehicles.

MMPC is committed to continue on bringing new and exciting vehicles, as well as provide customer-oriented service designed to meet the needs of the Filipinos. In fact, the company has already added a second shift for the L300 Euro4 production.

MMPC is one of the country’s leading automotive assemblers and distributors. It is the longest staying automotive company in the Philippines. Occupying a 23 hectare plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, MMPC’s manufacturing plant has a maximum production capacity of 50,000 units. Currently, MMPC locally manufactures the Mirage and Mirage G4.
