Drug peddlers fall in overpass buy-bust

An overpass seems to be an unlikely place for selling meth but four suspected drug peddlers dared to sell their illegal stuff out in the open with karmic consequence.

Mario Lacap, 61 , of Caloocan City, Flordeliza Dimaano, 54 , and Peejay dela Cruz, 39, both from Barangay Unang Sigaw; and Fritz Dimaano, 29 , of Barangay Baesa,Quezon City were arrested bout 6:30 p.m. Saturday after offering P4,500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer of the Quezon City Police District at the Balintawak overpass in Barangay Unang Sigaw.

Also seized from the suspects during the buy-bust operation of the District Drug Enforcement under PCpt. Jose Mari Jasmin were 10 sachets of shabu worth P204,000, drug paraphernalia and the markedt money.

Lacap and Flordeliza were found to be involved in previous illegal drugs cases.

All suspects are facing charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at the City Prosecutor’s Office.

Meanwhile , those confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to the QCPD Crime Laboratory.
