Cagayan region still under Signal No.1

Tropical Cyclone Warning System No.1 is still up on the northern portion of Luzon as Tropical Storm “Ramon” (international name: Kalmaegi) remains in the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The affected areas include municipalities in the eastern portion of Cagayan ( Calayan, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Buguey, Santa Teresita, Gonzaga, Santa Ana. Lal-lo, Gattaran, Alcala, Baggao, Amulung, Iguig, Tuguegarao City and Penablanca), eastern portion of Isabela (San Pablo, Cabagan, Maconacon, Tumauinin, Divilacan, Ilagan City, Palanan, Dinapigue) and northen Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran and Dinalungan).

Ramon was last seen east of Casiguran, Aurora, packing maximum winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of 80 kph.

It is moving slowly northwest and is expected to weaken into a tropical depression by Tuesday, 19 November.

Light to moderate rains with thunderstorms will prevail over Eastern Visayas, Bicol region, Aurora province, Quezon and Cagayan Valley today while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience fair weather.
