The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) has deployed a total of 404 Labor and Employment Officers (LEO) nationwide to inspect establishments employing foreign nationals.

In Administrative Order 472 issued by Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, the said LEO from 16 regions were sent out to conduct verification inspection until the second week of December this year.

The LEO were joined by one regular labor inspector who serves as team leader to supervise the conduct of verification inspection.

Bello, likewise, directed the regional directors to authorize the verification or inspection of identified establishments and workplaces.

In Luzon, 135 LEO were dispatched to the National Capital Region, 12 in the Cordillera Administrative Region, nine in the Ilocos provinces, 42 in Cagayan Valley, 37 in Central Luzon, 34 in CALABARZON, 12 in MIMAROPA and 12 in Bicol.
