USC grad tops civil engineering exam

A graduate of the University of San Carlos topped the Civil Engineering Licensure Exam, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported Friday.

A graduate of the University of San Carlos topped the Civil Engineering Licensure Exam, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported Friday.

Lou Mervin Tristan Mahilum led 6,510 passers with his 93.25 percent passing rate.

Jeremy Rifarael of Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Lopez followed with 93.10 percent, Christian Mark Macapagao of the University of the East-Caloocan ranked third with 92.90 percent while Brandon Calvin Go of Cebu Institute of Technology-University landed at fourth with 92.60 percent.

John Mark Guimba of University of the Philippines-Diliman, meanwhile, was at fifth with 92.55 percent. Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College-Talisay was the best performing school with 98 percent passing rate.

The licensure exam was held in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga on November 2019.
