HAIRSTYLES have become a standard of beauty and an accessory that can never be taken off.

It’s the hair that people notice before anything else. It can speak volumes from how a person chooses to cut, color or style it. Whatever hairstyles; from a bob cut to bangs, it is part of the reflection of beauty standards and an accessory that can never be taken off.

And fortunately, there are professional hairdressers that can turn a look from zero to 100 starting with hair up to the best reflection of one’s personality, mood and transformation in life.

Last 21 October, Davines, an international hair care brand, conducted a one-of-a-kind opportunity for hairdressers around the country to meet fellow stylists to share trends, ideas and projects as a dedication to beauty.

For the second time in Asia, Hair On Stage takes on Davines’ stylists and some of the biggest names in the hairdressing arena to showcase their creativity and unique styles in a series of shows and seminars that ventured on new and innovative ways to style hair.

From mixed culture hairstyling practices to incorporating and interpreting Philippine heritage collections through textiles like banig and the ancient Filipino language and writing system, Baybayin. Different styles, culture and trends gathered by beauty and hair — is the mere embodiment of what the style of Davines is all about.

Live demonstrations of newest trends and styling ideas were shown on-stage through the collaborative efforts of Boy Tokyo and Rikyu Bangkok; Creative Style Academy All-Stars, the finest array of stylists in leading salons in the country; New Zealand’s multi-awarded hairdresser Danny Pato; UK’s ALILON Education group and the Davines Educational Team.

Davines is known not just for its monumental contributions to the hairdressing industry but also for its commendable efforts in saving the planet, envisioning its business not just capable of profit but more on creating an impact on its people and environment.

Driven by the ideals of sustainable beauty, Davines’ high-quality and essential haircare products and formulations are made up by organic materials, sourcing ingredients from slow food presidia farms, generated with renewable electric energy and packed with materials that have minimal damage to the environment — products that are good not only for the hair but also for the environment.

Since repackaging essential haircare in late 2014, Davines has saved up more than 8.4 tons of plastic and has compensated 7.113 tons of CO2 by preserving green spaces around the world.

In its website, Davide Bollati, Davine’s President said, “By creating beauty sustainably, we encourage people to take care of themselves, of the environment in which they live and work, and of the things they love.”
