Antipolo tops 2019 Most Competitive Cities

Antipolo City again dominated the Seventh Regional Competitiveness Summit held last 24 October at the Philippine International Convention Center when it was hailed as the Most Competitive City in the Philippines in the Component City category.

Antipolo bagged the first place for Overall Competiveness in the Component City category, first Place in Government Efficiency, first Place in Resilience and second Place in Infrastructure.

This is the second time in the last three years wherein Antipolo was hailed as one of the Most Competitive Cities in the country, while the Rizal provincial government took in its fourth straight win the title for the “Most Competitive Province.”

Last year, the National Competiveness Council recognized the Province of Rizal as a Hall of Fame Awardee.

According to Mayor Andrea “Andeng” Ynares, Antipolo garnering consecutive recognitions from the national government was an overwhelming experience.

She pointed out that the welfare of the citizenry remains the guiding light and inspiration for the implementation of every program and project of the local government.

Just recently, Antipolo City was recognized as the Most Business-Friendly City by President Rodrigo Duterte and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The city was also conferred with the 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance, a prestigious award given annually by the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
