Rody to work even harder — Palace

The Palace official said that the President’s intention to work at home and the duration on how long he stays in Davao City is always subject to change.

Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo on Tuesday said that even though President Rodrigo Duterte gets tired of his work as Chief Executive of the country, the people can expect the President to work even harder and do his job until he finishes his term on June 30, 2022.

Panelo made the remark in a press briefing in Malacañang when he was asked to give an update on the President’s plan to work from home in Davao City.

According to Panelo, being the Chief Executive is not easy and entails a lot or work. But despite that, he assured that the President will continue to work with the same vigor.

“It’s tiring even before, all of us gets tired. But like the man that he is, he really wants to work for as long as he is the President. He will perform his duty to the fullest and with passion and dedication,” Panelo said.

The Palace official, however, said that the President’s intention to work at home and the duration on how long he stays in Davao City is always subject to change.

“The President is his own man. He determines when he is in good shape or not. Even we are more knowledgeable with our own body, we know if we can do it or not,” said Panelo.

When asked about the present state of the President’s health, Panelo said he is doing fine.

He said during his visit to the wake of Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr., the President told Mr. Lucio Tan that when he is home, he can afford to take a rest after working unlike when he is in Malacañang.

Panelo earlier said during an interview that President Duterte will no longer take a three-day leave and instead will work in his home in Davao City and assured the public that the President is doing fine and just needs more time to sleep due to his hectic work as Chief Executive.
