Rody, Nur to create peace committee

Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has revealed that President Rodrigo Duterte met Monday evening with Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founder Nur Misuari to talk about forging lasting peace in Mindanao.

Specifically, the President and Misuari discussed in their meeting at Malacañang Palace the creation of peace coordinating committee between the MNLF and the government.

Their next meeting will take place in Davao City next month. Mr. Duterte visited the wake of typan John Gokongwei Jr. and Lucio “Bong” Tan, Jr. after talking with Misuari.

Senator Go provided media a picture on the said meeting.
