Lucio Tan, Jr. hospitalized

Lucio “Bong” Tan, Jr., son and namesake of business tycoon Lucio C. Tan, collapsed at midday yesterday during a basketball game in Mandaluyong City.

Bong Tan is PAL Holdings President. PAL Holdings is Philippine Airlines’ holdings company.

Philippine Airlines spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said in a statement that the younger Tan was admitted to a nearby hospital where he remains in stable condition. He is currently under observation and will undergo a series of diagnostic tests.

During this difficult time, the Tan family is requesting media and the public to respect their privacy.
