Tycoon’s son collapses

Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr., the son of business tycoon Lucio Tan, reportedly collapsed during a basketball game in Mandaluyong City on Saturday afternoon.

In a released statement, Tan Jr. – who is the president of flag carrier Philippine Airlines holding company PAL Holdings – is now in a hospital and currently under observation, but remains in a stable condition.

“He is currently under observation and will undergo a series of diagnostic tests,” the statement read.

The Tan family requested the media to respect their privacy.
