Elasto Painters thwart Beermen

Rain or Shine kept its slim quarterfinal hopes alive Saturday night as it warded off San Miguel via a 91-85 victory in the PBA Governors’ Cup road game at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The Elasto Painters relied on their balanced scoring from start to finish, improving their card to 3-7 while dealing the Beermen their fourth loss in 10 games.

Javee Mocon and import Rich Ross finished with 16 points apiece while Rey Nambatac and Gabe Norwood capped the night with 15 points each.

Chris Ross led San Miguel with 19 points, while big man June Mar Fajardo and Arwind Santos contributed 17 and 14 points, respectively.
