‘Yorme’ urges: Keep barangays clean

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Tuesday called out to barangay officials in the city to fully cooperate and help the city government in cleaning up their respective barangays in line with the local government’s goal of restoring Manila back to its old glory.

Fresh from his three-day official visit to South Korea, the Manila mayor arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 past 11 a.m. and went straight to the Manila City Hall to attend to the huge piles of documents that needed his signature.

Domagoso stressed that he will duly acknowledge barangay chairpersons and barangay kagawads who put in extra efforts to help literally clean up the city while those who will fail or do nothing will get his “unending” appeal for their cooperation.

“Our job of keeping the city litter-free will definitely depend on the cooperation of its residents, especially of barangay heads,” Domagoso said. “So please, I humbly ask for your cooperation. We need to help each other out.”
