New traffic signal at Palo, Leyte

A traffic signal control system has been installed in Palo, Leyte, the Department of Public Works and Highways disclosed on Saturday.

The installation of the P45.8 million-worth system aims to provide convenient signal coordination to motorists in Palo. Likewise, it is also expected to minimize traffic congestion in the diversion roads.

The system was installed at the intersections of Daang Maharlika Road, Tacloban-Baybay-South road (Pawing section), and Government Center Road network. These intersections are considered vital since these lead to Leyte’s frequently visited places — McArthur Leyte Landing Memorial Park and DZR airport in Tacloban City.
