NCRPO: Undas generally peaceful

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Saturday reported that cemetery visits in his jurisdiction were trouble free as the observance All Saints Day and All Souls Day concluded.

In a radio interview, NCRPO acting chief Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas said that the conduct of the public observing Undas was “peaceful and orderly,” noting that at least 1,376,540 people were at cemeteries on 1 November.

On Saturday, 2 November, police estimated that at least 176,066 visitors were at cemeteries and columbaria in Metro Manila as of 2 p.m. and Sinas noted that crime incidents between 28 October and 1 November went down from the same period last year.

Most of the crimes committed in the incidents were theft, robbery and physical injuries, Sinas added.
