NLEX drubs RoS, 111-91

NLEX extended its win streak to four games after drubbing Rain or Shine, 111-91, and grabbed a share of the lead in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors’ Cup Wednesday night at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

The Road Warriors did not need another huge scoring game from import Manny Harris, who this time showcased his all-around skills with a triple-double output of 29 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

Kiefer Ravena contributed 12 points and six assists while Poy Erram tallied 12 markers and eight boards for NLEX, which tied sister team TT KaTropa at the top spot with identical 7-1 win-loss slates.

After a tight first half, 51-49, the Road Warriors pulled away in the third period and entered the final period with an 83-65 cushion.

The Elasto Painters never recovered from that blow to absorb their second straight loss and go down deeper in the standings with 2-7 mark.

Rich Ross, a last-minute replacement of Kwame Alexander, debuted with 20 points and eight rebounds while Jayvee Mocon added 17 markers and eight boards.
