Santa Maria remains PAL president

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Tuesday clarified that Gilbert Santa Maria remains as president and COO of the country’s premiere airline.

In a social media post, the PAL said that it issued the clarification on the national flag carrier and noted that Santa Maria had presented his 90-day report on PAL and his turnaround plan for the airline.

It said that Santa Maria’s presentation – which included projects that are for implementation beginning in the year 2020 – was well received by members of the board and Chairman Lucio Tan.

PAL also announced that in another meeting by PAL Holdings, Inc., Lucio ‘Bong’ K. Tan, Jr. was appointed as President of PAL’s holding company.
