NBI-7 gets probe order on mayor’s slay

as ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a statement to the Daily Tribune, NBI Regional Director Atty. Tomas Enrile said that they have received the verbal order from Atty. Antonio Pagatpat, the NBI’s Deputy Director for Regional Operations Services.

“Yes, I received instruction just now from our director as per directive from the President,” said Enrile, but he did not disclose how would they carry out the investigations.

The NBI-7 had coordinated with Cebu City Police Office(CCPO) through its City Director Colonel Gemma Vinluan, who heads the Special Investigation Task Group(SITG) Navarro.

She told media that they will cooperate with the NBI and turn over the investigation reports and evidences that were retrieved in the ambush site along M. Velez St. where Navarro was ambushed and killed.

“We will turn over to them the investigation and NBI can focus more on the investigation,” Vinluan said.
