No coding on ‘Undas’

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will lift the number coding scheme for all vehicles as well as provincial buses in time for the All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day.

The suspension will be implemented for vehicles on 1 November and for buses on 31 October and 4 November to brace for the influx of passengers travelling to their provinces for the Undas.

“A no-day off, no absent policy will be enforced among our traffic enforcers on October 31, November 1 and November 4,” said MMDA chair Danilo Lim in a statement.

MMDA will also deploy around 2,300 personnel in major areas of Metro Manila from 30 October to 4 November to assist travelers and motorists.
