Cordillera police nets 2 drug couriers

BAGUIO CITY — Two drug personalities were arrested and almost 300k worth of shabu was confiscated during an anti-drugs operation under the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) in Benguet.

Combined operatives of La Trinidad police, Intelligence personnel of Benguet Provincial Police Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Benguet arrested Ibalson Cadangen, High Value Target (HVT) and Anelyn Esteban Ngayawen, Street Level Target (SLT) in Shilan, La Trinidad, Benguet in the late evening of 23 October.

The duo were caught while selling shabu to one of the operatives during a buy-bust operation. Confiscated in their possession were 43.7 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P297,160.00.

Both suspects are now under the custody of the concerned operating units and a case of RA 9165 will be filed against them in court.
