PMA all out for change

PMA is committed to have a better institution that molds leaders of character, and competent and principled military professionals, said Captain Cheryl Tindog.

BAGUIO CITY—- The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) is shaping up and not folding down at the heels of new incidents of maltreatment of underclass cadets by upperclassmen.

“Giving up and hopelessness are not the actions PMA can afford and will ever consider,” said newly-designated PMA spokesperson Captain Cheryl Tindog.

“Upon (PMAs) shoulders rests the commitment to have a better institution that molds leaders of character, and competent and principled military professionals. We are working very hard to fulfill that commitment,” Tindog said.

Upon the assumption of new PMA Superintendent Rear Admiral Allan Ferdinand Cusi, the premier military officer training institution in the country declared “an all-out war against hazing”.

Though changes will not happen overnight, Tindog said, “(PMA) is working very hard to institute the necessary reforms, eradicate malpractices, and end hazing once and for all.”
