‘Yorme’ urges compliance on All Souls’ Day

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Tuesday called on cemetery goers who will visit their loved ones on All Souls’ Day to follow the rules and regulations when at the Manila North and Manila South cemeteries.

In a statement, Domagoso said that cleaning and repainting of tombs can already commence this early, but stressed that they should put away their trash properly, adding that burning of trash inside the cemeteries is strictly prohibited.

The mayor also advised the public that bringing of firearms, bladed weapons such as knives, screwdrivers and icepicks and flammable materials like lighters, thinner, alcohol and gas are also not allowed, along with pets, sound system, gambling paraphernalia and intoxicating drinks.
