Police chiefs visit ‘Yorme’

New National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) regional director Gen. Debold Sinas and newly installed Manila Police District (MPD) chief P/Brig Gen. Bernabe Balba on Monday assured Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso that they will continue supporting his all-out campaign to restore order in the nation’s capital city.

In a formal visit by the two police officials, accompanied by outgoing MPD director P/Gen. Vicente Danao Jr., Domagoso welcomed their appointments, particularly his new chief of police Gen. Balba.

He said he pinned his hope on the MPD chief to continue his effort to transform the city based on his promise to bring back sanity in its streets and roads, particularly in the commercial district.

Sinas declared that his first marching order was to clean Metro Manila of criminality with a focus on illegal drugs, as he called on all men in uniform under his command to continue what his predecessors have started.

“There will be no comparison, but I will continue the good policy of past officials of the NCRPO, with stress on a no-take policy to all illegal activities” he saids.

With matters regarding to illegal drugs, the mayor was assured that the case of the alleged Sampaloc “drug queen,” identified as Guia Gomez-Castro, is now being resolved with the assistance of Interpol, as well the US Embassy in Manila, for her arrest and deportation.
