PNP molded to be God-centered servants

The Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Chaplain Service on Saturday announced that it has embarked on the initiative to mold the police forces in the country as God-centered servants.

This initiative was in line with the PNP organization’s mandate of guiding police personnel to be effective implementors of the law amid the controversial issue of “ninja cops” in the country.

According to PNP-Chaplain Service OIC Director Col. Rev. Father Lucio Rosaroso Jr., the program aims ensure that PNP staff are God-centered, service oriented and family-based in fulfilling their mandate as disciples of the law.

Father Rosaroso explained that in addition to being God-centered and faithful servants of the public, PNP staff should also value their families.

By being family-based, Fr. Rosario said members of the PNP need to be faithful to their wives and they take good care of their children.

Moreover, it can also be noted that some bishops of the Catholic Church first appealed to the PNP leader to conduct internal cleansing and evaluate the loyalty, credibility and ability of over 190,000 police officers nationwide.
