4 Yanson siblings face carnapping charges

VALLACAR Transit Inc. has filed carnapping charges against the Yanson siblings allegedly for the coerced possession of four of the company’s vehicles.

Vallacar Transit, the company behind Ceres Liner and Sugbo Transit, filed before the Bacolod City Prosecutor Office charges versus Ricardo Yanson Jr., Roy Yanson, Emily Yanson, and Ma.

Lourdes Celina Yanson-Lopez as well as versus Jerica Leanne Ramos, Jerina Louise Ramos, Ma. Judy Alcala, Police Brigadier General (PBGen) Noli Romana, and Police Colonel (PCol) Jomil John Trio.

The case stemmed from the accused individuals’ illegal taking of control and possession, with intent to possess two Mitsubishi L300 utility vans and two Foton wing-van trucks owned by Vallacar in July this year.

On 7 July 2019, the four Yanson siblings in a purported special board meeting, unseated Leo Rey Yanson as the president of Vallacar. He was subsequently replaced by his eldest brother Roy but Leo with the support of his mother, Olivia and sister Ginnette Dumancas, refused to step down.

The complaint-affidavit stated that on 7 July, the four Yanson siblings backed by the security guards of A-Y 76 Security Specialists Inc. took possession and control, with intent to gain, of Vallacar’s main office.
