Cam mellows down

Embattled Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) director Sandra Cam seems to be softening up against several media men from the Manila Police District (MPD) beat, as reports from sources said that she has been allegedly inviting the involved media to dinner.

Cam previously filed libel charges on some of the reporters covering the MPD beat for their reports on her involvement on the slain Batuan, Masbate Vice Mayor Charlie Yuson — which the slain public official’s wife claims.

The sources also noted that a reporter, who was included in the libel case, allegedly received a text invitation from Cam for a dinner in the coming days.

The said reporter noted that she had not accepted the invitation but hinted that she is willing to face Cam and explain her part for reporting the declaration of her political opponent.

Sources also said that the Cam invitation goes to all reporters covering the MPD beat.

To recall, Cam was implicated in the Batuan vice mayor’s slay by his wife Lalaine Yuson. Yuson was shot to death in Manila while having breakfast in Sampaloc by unidentified gunmen, which alighted from a silver van.
