In 2001, the company released the beloved Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado that harnessed the fruit’s nutritional benefits to deeply hydrate under eyes.

The mask features avocado fruit extract revitalize and restore the skin due to its high level of lipid-soluble components that support the skin’s natural hydrating process, while locking in moisture on the skin’s surface for healthier-looking skin over time. Each avocado is cultivated in the United States and the extract is obtained by grinding the fruit and using a sophisticated filtration system to blend it with Kiehl’s favorite skin-loving olive-derived Squalane.

Kiehl’s pressed and refined Avocado Oil is sourced from Italy and Spain. The nourishing ingredient is a rich source of unsaturated essential fatty acids, including a potent blend of nourishing omegas, deeply hydrating the skin as well as boosting barrier function.

Its chemists primarily source the Evening Primrose Oil from Europe and are able to extract the precious oil by cold pressing its seeds. This fragrant yellow flower contains a naturally high source of unsaturated fatty acids that help play a role in the formula to improve skin quality.
