Koreans collared over fake bills

Two Koreans were arrested by lawmen after they brought inside a casino in Pasay City several pieces of counterfeit money on Sunday night.

The suspects were identified as Seong Bok Min, 52, call center manager, of Barangay Pinagsama, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, and Cheongyeol Yun, 49, also of Bonifacio Global City.

The two were arrested inside Resorts World Manila.

Investigation showed they tried to exchange the counterfeit money at around 10:20 p.m., but it was detected by the cashier who immediately alerted the security personnel of the gaming area.

Eleven pieces of fake bills were recovered from Cheongyeol and another four pieces of counterfeit P1,000 bills were taken from Seong.

The suspects were brought to the Pasay City General Hospital for physical examination before they were referred to the investigation branch of the Pasay City police station for proper disposition.
