Yulo clinches gold

With an Olympic stint already in the bag, gymnast Carlos Yulo proved his worth in the qualifiers as he won the gold in the men’s Floor Exercise at the 49th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2019 in Stuttgart, Germany.

Relieved of the pressure of needing to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, a more relaxed Yulo displayed poise in scoring a personal best of 84.048 points over the 6 apparatuses.

It was also a dramatic rise in the event for Yulo, whose stint in Germany is funded by the Philippine Sports Commission.
