Aseana City Nissan dealership done by 2021

The first Nissan car dealership to rise in Aseana City, Parañaque is slated for completion in 2021.

Aseana City master developer D.M. Wenceslao & Associates Inc. (DMWAI) on Monday announced the development, noting that it aims to “help Nissan realize its strategy by making Aseana City’s modern and lively environment, global infrastructure standards and strategic location a seamless part of their distribution network.”

The proposed development will be built within a 2,500-square meter parcel of land in Bradco Avenue.

As per the project’s terms of agreement, the Nissan dealership will have a lease period of 10 years with an option to extend the lease for five years.

The project will be made through Bay Resources and Development Corp. (BRADCO), DMWAI’s 50 percent-owned joint venture with the Armed Forces of the Philippines Retirement and Separation Benefits System, whose primary purpose is to acquire, develop and market real estate properties.

“We carry out an interim land use strategy with respect to certain land areas not slated for development in the next five to 10 years. We intend to make such land available for lease for a variety of purposes,” DMWAI chief executive president Delfin Angelo Wenceslao was quoted as saying in a disclosure to the stock exchange.

“We believe such a strategy will help increase the brand awareness of Aseana City, and also add another income source to our group.”

Nissan, who earlier on said it plans to open eight to 10 more dealerships to add to its 44 existing dealerships in the Philippines, will join other automotive car brands Ford, Honda and Subaru in Aseana City.

Nissan Philippines Inc. has been seeing increased appetite for its models. From January to August this year, the carmaker’s sales has risen 37 percent to 28,212 sold units from 20,591 units in the same period last year.
