4 drug suspects nabbed, druggie kills dad

In Barangay Addition Hills, Rosalie Boado, 30, and Joanna Jimeno, 23, we're nabbed at about 9 a.m. for sniffing suspected shabu in a house along Blk 41.

Four drug suspects were arrested in separate police raids in Mandaluyong City on Sunday morning.

In Mandaluyong City, Djoanna Aribon, 42, real estate agent; and Raymond Nuqui, 39, jobless; were arrested for selling shabu to undercover cops in San Pedro Street, Barangay Plainview about 10:30 a.m.

Seized from the two suspects in the buy-bust operation were four plastic sachets of suspected and P200 marked money.

Mandaluyong police officers raided the drug den in response to a tip from a concerned citizen and immediately arrested the suspects.

Recovered from Boado and Jimeno were two aluminum foil strips with traces of suspected shabu, one unsealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and a disposable lighter.

The four arrested suspects are now detained at the Mandaluyong City Police Station custodial facility while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them before the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man believed to be under the influence of illegal drug have repeatedly stabbed dead his father at the Tondo Sport Complex on Monday.

The victim was identified as Nonito Orlain, 59 and resident of Chacon Street in Tondo.

The suspect was identified as Oliver Orlain, 30, unemployed and with no permanent address. Agents from the Manila Police District (MPD)-Moriones PS2 arrested him.

Based on the report submitted by Richard Escarlan of MPD-Homicide Section, the stabbing incident happened at 12 noon.

The victim was preparing his meal along with his live-in partner when they invited the suspect to dine with them. The suspect ignored the invitation and left but came back carrying a 12-inch kitchen knife. Without any provocation, he repeatedly stabbed his father.

The victim’s partner hit the suspect with an umbrella but it did not stop him from attacking the victim. After the stabbing, he causally walked away.

Some vendors who saw the crime brought the victim to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Police tracked the hideout of Orlain and arrested him. With Pat C. Santos
