Panasonic names scholars

PANASONIC officials pose with the 20 college and vocational students who received scholarships from the global electronics giant.

A total 20 university and vocational students had been rewarded inclusion in the 2019 Panasonic Scholarship Asia program in a ceremony held in the company’s Taytay, Rizal headquarters.

Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. said the scholarship program is in line with its vision of returning to the community its successes in the highly competitive electronics market.

The ceremony was led by Panasonic Corp. corporate social responsibility department head Haruhisa Okuda and PMPC president Masatoshi Sasaki.

The 20 new Panasonic scholars are as follows:

Undergraduate Category — Kevin Balatico, Jazzrine Tagle, Ian Jester Jose, Agustin Lacre Jr., Heidilyn Sampaga, Ma. Elena Guanlao, Ronaldo Velilla Jr. and Gian Bianca Vergara.

Vocational Category — Ronald Atienza, John Mark Cabilan, Zandro Fernandez, Roy Manangkil, Reymon Tigbabao, Rommel Abris, Mark Jerald Calisura, Jhon Moises Penasbo, Lance Kobe Apilado, Milestone Bautista, Robert John Boñon and Ryan Tubalinal.

The new scholars passed a series of interviews and assessment of their overall performance as students.
