Innovative Japanese makeup, perfect for the modern-day Filipina
Always in Sync, as they say, the Synchro Skin foundation adapts, reacts and self-absorbs in order to maintain that fresh and flawless finish throughout the day.

Everyone wants to have bright and clear skin. It doesn’t matter if they have to try every treatment there is out there or anything that would say it’s the key to getting what they want — that porcelain-looking skin.
To help achieve this, Shiseido recently launched the Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing collection which bridges the gap between makeup and skincare.
The Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing collection consists of seven different variants of products, two brushes and 73 shades of the foundation perfect for different undertones and shades, catering to anyone and everyone.
“Always in Sync,” as they say, the Synchro Skin foundation adapts, reacts and self-absorbs in order to maintain that fresh and flawless finish throughout the day.
For this collection, Shiseido highlights the Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation, Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Cushion Compact and Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Concealer. It resists humidity, responds to heat, rebounds from facial movement, absorbs oil and diffuses the light — perfect for any environment because of its ActiveForce Technology developed by Shiseido Laboratories.
“Always a pioneer in the beauty space, the latest launches are a true expression of the brand’s cutting-edge Japanese science,” said Gail Boye, senior vice president of Global Product Development for Shiseido Makeup.
This is because the products have high levels of SPF, perfect for the scorching heat in the country. Another good thing about it is that the high SPF does not affect the color payoff of the product and will not leave a white cast perfect for taking selfies or flash photography.
The Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation (P3,000), Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Cushion Compact Refill (P1,900), Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Cushion Compact Case (P900), Shiseido Synchro Skin Invisible Silk Loose Powder (P2,500), Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-refreshing Concealer (P1,800), Shiseido Synchro Skin Correcting Gel Stick Concealer (P1,800), Shiseido Synchro Skin Invisible Silk Pressed Powder (P2,850), Shiseido Hanatsubaki Hake Polishing Face Brush (P2,700) and Shiseido Tsutsu Fude Concealer Brush (P1,500) are available in the local Shiseido boutiques.
Having lost her go-to Shiseido eyelash curler, KC Concepcion went to Rockwell in hopes of purchasing a brand new one.
Unfortunately, the Shiseido store was already closed due to an event. She documented everything on her Instagram story tagging Shiseido along the way.
Little did she know, Shiseido saw everything. As an apology, Shiseido sent her a whole collection of makeup products including the Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation. Since then, it has become her ride-or-die makeup product.
“In events like this, I’m always oily because it’s hot and I’m sweaty and then when I did my retouch and checked the mirror, I noticed how its properties — sweat-proof, water-resistant, hydrates and is transfer-proof, really works. My shade is Linen,” said the new Shiseido ambassador.

Last 26 September at Okada Manila, Shiseido opened its doors to the country and officially launched Shiseido Philippines Corporation to give Filipino and Filipina beauty and makeup enthusiasts access to beauty beyond borders.
“We are extremely delighted to move our business forward with the launch of the Shiseido Philippines Corporation and I look forward to engage with our consumers as we bring them limitless beauty with our extensive line-up of high-quality cosmetics and skincare products,” said managing director of Shiseido Philippines Koji Nakata.
The leading global beauty company, guided by Japanese philosophy combined with the scientific developments and pharmaceuticals of western beauty practices, has developed a variety of cosmetic products, skincare products and such that caters to every skin type and color. They have also developed Shiseido Men — products dedicated to their male consumers.
With the high demands for cosmetics and beauty products in the country, the premier cosmetic company’s entry to the country also signals the dawn of well-beloved self-care and beauty brands like NARS, Laura Mercier and Senka as well as luxury fragrances like Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake and Narciso Rodriguez.
