Rody pays tribute to fallen Russian soldiers

President Rodrigo Duterte paid tribute to fallen Russian soldiers in World War II as he continued his working visit to the country Friday.

The President laid a wreath at and bowed before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow and the Philippine national anthem was played during the brief ceremony which was also attended by several Cabinet members.

Duterte was also expected to be given a tour of the Kremlin Palace while his other scheduled activities included a business forum aimed at promoting trade and investment opportunities between the Philippines and Russia and an attendance at a Filipino cultural performance.

Duterte will wrap up his five-day official visit to Russia — his second since assuming office in 2016 — on Saturday.
