BPI: Major system upgrades seen

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) announced on Thursday that several of its banking services will be unavailable on 19 October as its system is up for a major upgrade.

In its advisory, the BPI said that staring 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on 19 October, online banking, mobile app, ATMs, cash accept machines, debit card services, BizLink and ELink platforms will be temporarily unavailable.

“This is in line with our continuing efforts to provide more advanced services and capabilities for you…Please plan your weekend transactions accordingly,” the statement read, adding that credit card and prepaid card services will still be accessible.
