Star City closed for the Holidays

There will be one less go-to place during the Holidays as the iconic Star City amusement park in Pasay City, gutted by fire early Wednesday morning, will be closed during the Christmas season.

The Manila Broadcasting Company announced the temporary closure of the 28-year-old attraction but said adjacent FM radio stations Love Radio, Yes the Best and Easy Rock will contine to broadcast.

AM station DZRH will resume operations in two days.

The ferris wheel and roller coaster rides located outside were spared.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.

Star City started operating daily on 13 September as it usually does when the “Ber” months strike.
