Pialago to Reyes: Try harder

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesman Celine Pialago late Monday slammed Bayan Muna secretary general Renato Reyes after the latter bashed her for saying that the transport strike was “unsuccessful.”

In a social media post, Pialago said that Reyes should “try harder” as she blasted the Bayan Muna sec-gen for ‘making hard the lives of the riding public’ due to their relentless protest and transport strikes.

“Tigilan mo ko Renato Reyes. Tigilan mo kaka strike mo para pahirapan ang mga pasahero dahil hindi ka magtatagumpay,” said Pialago on her Facebook page.

“Kung kaya mong mag-transport strike ng isang taon baka sakali magtagumpay ka. One day? Try harder,” she added.

Earlier, Pialago said that the nationwide transport strike of public utility vehicles (PUVs) failed to paralyze transportation in the metropolis, saying the normal situation in areas with stranded passengers was restored as early as 8:30 a.m.

The assistant secretary added that the transport strike can never be considered a success because not many people have been badly affected by it.
