Cua targets Quirino tourism boost

Following the successful Panagdadapun Festival 2019 in Quiriño province, Governor Dakila “Dax” Cua recently announced that he is eyeing to boost the province’s tourism to spur its economic growth.

Cua — a former three-term representative of the Lone District of Quiriño — stressed that economic growth will be achieved by the province if it beefs up the tourism sector.

“It will help provide high potential support to our job creation,” said Cua.

The Quirino governor ran unopposed in the May 2019 election after introducing the multi-sectoral organization “Trabaho at Oportunidad (TAO)” program to the province, which aims to uplift the standards of living of Filipinos by providing training, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Cua added that it will tie up with various groups for the successful implementation of the program.

“The program TAO will surely bring opportunities in the business sector as jobseekers and students who want to train will be brought to a single venue and forum to make it easier for them to communicate and grab their respective breaks for their own growth,” said Cua, who once chaired the Committee on Ways and Means in his previous Congressional seat.
