Phoenix expands further south of Metro Manila
The company opened four new fuel stations in Muntinlupa and Las Piñas, bringing the firm’s total store network to 650

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., the independent oil company of tycoon Dennis Uy, is set for an aggressive expansion in Metro Manila.
Phoenix chief operating officer Henry Albert Fadullon told the Philippine Stock Exchange on Friday that the company is looking to open more retail stations in the southern part of Metro Manila such as Pasay, Paranaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Taguig, Pateros and Makati.
“For the past years, we have been relentless in our pursuit to grow our business and achieve our goal to become an indispensable partner in the journey of everyone whose life we touch,” he said.
“This year, we want to continue our momentum. Our aim is to continue strengthening our brick-and-mortar and establishing our presence nationwide by opening more retail stations,” he added.
On the same day, the company opened four new fuel stations in Muntinlupa and Las Piñas, bringing the firm’s total store network to 650.
Phoenix said the new stations are equipped with 30 pumps and locators such as convenience stores, restaurant, car care services. As of last year, Phoenix’s store network was at 600.
Phoenix Petroleum is engaged in the trading of refined petroleum products on wholesale and retail basis and operating of gas stations, oil depots, storage facilities and allied services. Its operation is divided between trading and terminals and hauling services.
Earlier this month, the company announced an investment of $12.6 million for its newly-formed Singapore-based subsidiary PNX Petroleum Singapore Pte. Ltd. to expand its trading business.
Phoenix said PNX Petroleum is venturing into a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) offtake from Brunei to the Philippines in line with its move to strengthen its network. PNX signed a partnership with Singapore-based Hengyi Industries International Pte. Ltd. for the LPG offtake venture.
Under the agreement, the group will purchase LPG from Hengyi Brunei refinery’s future production beginning this year.
